When Nordic labour ministers met in Svalbard recently they agreed to identify the good examples where employers help include young people out of work and education. They also agreed to strengthen their cooperation on how to face the challenges of increasing labour immigration. The ministers also discussed gender equality at their meeting in Longyearbyen, one of the world’s northernmost permanent settlements where the Arctic surroundings would play a rather unusual role.
