The same low unemployment as in 2008

The number of jobseekers registered with NAV fell by 5,900 in July, adjusted for seasonal variations. 74,200 completely employed, partially unemployed and jobseekers are currently participating in job-seeking activities with NAV, representing 2.6 % of people of employable age.

"Despite high inflation, increasing interest rates and international unrest, unemployment continues to fall. So far this year, the number of completely unemployed people has fallen by 26,100, and unemployment is now at the same record-low level as in 2008, says head of NAV  Hans Christian Holte.

48,100 people were registered as completely unemployed at the end of July, representing 1.7 % of people of employable age.
