Check-list
  • Prepare for a video conference as thoroughly as you would for a physical meeting and focus on the purpose – what should be the outcome of the meeting?
  • Remember to give participants roles – who looks after what?
  • Technical knowledge – are all participants happy with the technology before the meeting starts?
  • Ask participants to check their backgrounds – are the lampshades sitting straight?
  • Choose a moderator carefully – are they used to being on camera?
  • Schedule – is it over-ambitious or just right?

A survey of Danish media leaders' experiences during Covid-19 and future expectations – shows that online meetings have. been good in terms of coordination, information, planning and quick decision-making. They have worked less well for story development, work processes and new projects, according to a majority of the respondees.
