Norway finally joins dual citizenship club

Norway opened up for dual citizenship on 1 January 2020, not only as the last of the Nordics but as the last country in Europe. Ironically, not long after that, the borders closed because of the corona crisis.

heads the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration’s department dealing with citizenship issues. He and Grete Brochmann participated at a meeting for Nordic citizens in Oslo, organised by the Norwegian-Swedish Association and the Norden Association on 3 March 2020.
