Punch Card Factory

IBM's punch card printers in Vällingby opened in 1954, making millions of cards a year. This roll held 3 km of cardboard which were turned into 18,000 punch cards in 11 minutes. The technology, and therefore the jobs, disappeared in 1980. Photo: IBM
