Hanne Bjurstrøm was appointed government minister to the Stoltenberg II government on 20 October 2009, and began her role as Minister of Labour on 20 December 2009. To her right is Erik Solheim, who was appointed at the same time.

Hanne Bjurstrøm was born in 1960 and is married with two children.
